Team Fortress 2: All Star Battle | Story Mode

~ Introduction ~

I am the Administrator... and to even call this nonsensical, time-wasting exercise a “Story Mode” is an absolute insult onto itself. There are no real stories here... the events that transpire here are merely regular, day-to-day events that have happened countless times over and over, with only but the slight of changes every now and then. All the battles, all the slaughter and all the misplaced sense of glory these mercenaries experience are derived from my orders; they are only of the most miniscule worth because I control them. But perhaps, there may be something that not even my numerous surveillance cameras can see that you can (though I doubt it); what is simple routine for me may possibly be interesting to those who are not so familiar with what goes through the mind of a killer and all that happens in the midst of battle. Take a look for yourself, and tell me by the end of it all if watching this endless inane cycle is truly worth it.

~ Part 1: Attack & Defend ~

The RED team fights to defend their control points from BLU, and the only three combatants with any real experience of defence, all of which are insane morons, must hold their own against an onslaught of attackers. The Heavy, a giant Russian who loves only his minigun “Sasha” and hates everything else. The Demoman, a Scottish drunkard that is a walking hazard for anyone with his explosives and swords. Finally; the Medic, a crazed German doctor who only heals bodies for the sake of tearing them apart all over again.

~ Part 2: Payload ~

The BLU team pushes their cart full of explosives to the RED’s base in an attempt to destroy it, and they will face many obstacles that must be overcome with swiftness and power; I would also say wit but it must be obvious that such a thing is neither possible nor necessary in this situation. The Soldier, an American madman who defies all logic, common sense and dignity for the sake of killing. The Scout, another irritating American from Boston, Massachusetts filled with more pride than he can ever hope to live up to. Finally; the Pyro, an enigmatic arsonist that seems to live in its own special little world.

~ Part 3: Control Point ~

The RED team is fighting a losing battle against BLU in attempt to capture all control points in the area, and it’s up to three cowards with naught but their outdated tools, weapons and underhanded tactics to turn the tides of victory. The Engineer, a Texan inventor that puts on a facade of maturity and politeness in order to hide his glaring weaknesses and cowardice. The Sniper, an Australian bushman that has no shame, no courage and no sense of self-cleanliness. Finally; the Spy, a French rogue that constantly acts like he has the winning hand in any game, completely forgetting who the host is and how powerful she really is.

~ Part 4: Arena ~

Here is one of the (slightly) more interesting parts. What was intended to be a simple, boring arena match turned into a free-for-all where it mattered not whether you were RED or BLU, as everyone was set out to kill everyone as part of a new event proposed by none other than Saxton Hale; the man stated that the last person standing could challenge him in a match, and that by getting close to a quarter way of defeating him will they be branded a glorious champion. Observing the scene is none other than my loyal assistant, Miss Pauling.

~ Part 5: King of the Hill ~

This was once going to be but a simple fight for the single control point, and then things soon became much stranger as fighters from the BLU team soon found out. Failing to realize that the night they were fighting on was October 31st, they unintentionally stumble onto the plans of the fearsome (in actuality pitiable) Merasmus the Magician, and now face off against eldritch power the likes of which would drive most people insane; but of course you can’t turn he who is already a complete lunatic even crazier.

Episode 1: Clash Of Fine Needles!
Spy Vs Sniper

Episode 2: Those That Soar With Arrogance!
Soldier Vs Scout

Episode 3: Discovery Of Horror!

Episode 6: More Than Just For My Eye Now!

~ Part 6: Mann Vs Machine ~

Gray Mann... you may think you have the upper hand with your legions of powerful machines, but they will never outclass the greed, bloodlust and stupidity of mankind. The colours red and blue have become meaningless, as all that matters now is the destruction of gray in order to acquire green. Even when they are down to but three men, these mercenaries will fight until their very bodies break apart; which is actually something that is reasonably expected, especially with word of a new, ultra-powerful robot soldier that you’ve apparently created...

Episode 1: Mobile Fortress Impact!
Engineer Vs Heavy (Robot)

Episode 2: High Stakes Tennis!
Pyro Vs Soldier (Robot)

Episode 3: Snake On High Ground!

Episode 6: More Menacing Than I Remember!

Final Episode: Technological Struggle!

~ Final Part: Capture the Flag ~

What is there to say about this one? I almost completely forgot it as even you would find this part to be boring and devoid of any excitement. Just a simple game of capture the flag (actually a briefcase) between the RED team and the BLU team, nothing more.

The Story Mode for Team Fortress 2: All Star Battle, which is essentially the same as the story mode in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure All Star Battle but with a different franchise. This is just general information for the mode, and in-depth info like what actually happens in the story and secret missions and stuff like that will be in separate deviations for each part. My main focus was to have each class have equal amounts of appearances, with 6 playable appearances and 5 appearances as enemies, and have each of them fight every class (including themselves) and one boss character in some form.

The characters that star in each part won't be the only ones in the part, and there are other mercenaries fighting elsewhere in the area that will sometimes influence the story. I haven't figured out what maps will be in each part so far, but I do know that despite the parts being based off game modes, that the fighters will fight in more than just one area for the sake of not being boring. The titles are intended to make sense in context, as well as the order that the playable characters fight in. I decided early on that I wouldn't only have 3 parts just for each of the bosses, and decided to go with 7; three regular parts and three parts with boss characters that can be unlocked, and one final part that was just mirror matches. The final part is intended to come off as anticlimactic, and I'll explain why when I get to that part.

The stories aren't meant to be anything too deep or original, which considering the nature of the franchise is a good thing. That's all I really have to say for this, and I won't actually be posting any specific info on each part until I'm done with the playable character information, which is a bit far off. Up next will be info on the arenas and their features, so until then; take care everybody <3
